Each of our libraries maintains a local history collection that focuses on its own community. You’ll find access to original and indexed records, a broad range of resources, and support from staff who are familiar with the local area.

The Bendigo Regional Archives Centre (BRAC), located at Bendigo Library, is part of the Public Records of Victoria network. It provides access to permanent public records from central and north-west Victoria, including council, court, and health records, through both physical and digital collections.

Genealogy groups also regularly visit our, offering expert help and support with family history research.
