Library Customer Service Officer (Casual)

Job Summary

Goldfields Library Corporation is a leading, people-focused organisation delivering outstanding services for communities across Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander, Macedon Ranges and Loddon shires. The vision for the Goldfields Library Corporation is Your stories. Your way. Your local library.

The ideal candidates to join our casual team will be flexible and reliable, passionate about libraries and able to provide proactive customer service to library patrons. Experience with person-first customer service and de-escalation strategies will be looked upon favourably.

Casual staff are a valued part of our organisation and assist with the full range of library services including day to day operations, program delivery, community relations, collection access, shelving and information services.

We are seeking applicants who can work at any of the libraries across our region, including Castlemaine, Gisborne, Kyneton, Romsey, Woodend, Heathcote, Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat and Eaglehawk. Availability for library agency shifts (via work vehicle to Loddon Shire) would also be looked upon favourably.

The role is:

  • Casual
  • Band 3A
  • Shifts are a minimum of three hours duration and may occur across library opening hours including evenings and Saturdays
  • Casual staff must be available for a minimum of two shifts per week
