BIG Summer Read

JOIN. BORROW. READ. WIN!

The BIG Summer Read is back, encouraging young readers 0 to 18 to read all summer long. Enjoy great books, earn fun rewards, and go in the running for fantastic prizes!

How it works

There are two ways to participate: online and on paper.

Online:

1. Register online through the Read Books website.
2. Track your reading by logging each time you read. Each milestone unlocks a virtual badge and increases your chance in the statewide prize draw.

On paper:

1. Pick up a reading record from your local library or download it here (available soon).
2. Read 5 books, or record 5 days of reading and complete the optional activities. 
3. Return your completed record to the library by Saturday, 31 January 2026, to enter the Goldfields Libraries prize draw.

Prizes

Local prizes up for grabs include book, EB Games and Smiggle vouchers, and Posca paint pen packs.
