Job Summary
Goldfields Library Corporation is a leading, people-focused organisation delivering outstanding services for communities across Greater Bendigo, Mount Alexander, Macedon Ranges and Loddon. The vision for the Goldfields Library Corporation Strategy 2021-2025 is ‘Your Potential Realised’.
The Manager, Collections is an integral member of the Goldfields Library Corporation management team. This position is responsible for our collection, which is floated across nine libraries and eight agencies throughout Central Victoria. This is a part time (28 hours per week/ 0.8 FTE) role; and is a job share arrangement that forms backfill for parental leave and is therefore in place for a 15-month period.
An ideal candidate for this position is someone who has:
- A passion for modern public libraries and the role they play in supporting lifelong learning, literacy development and fostering a sense of connection and belonging.
- The ability to analyse collection performance, oversee projects, prioritise budget spending and effectively engage staff, community and partners in understanding and promoting the collection.
- Advanced budget management, expenditure, statistical analysis and reporting skills.
- A proactive and cooperative approach to building positive relationships across the organisation and with key stakeholders.
- Excellent digital literacy skills and the ability to share these skills with others.
