Library Staff visits

Library staff visit each library agency weekly. Our librarians are friendly and helpful and are happy to assist in any way they can. Our librarians can help with borrowing using the self-loan kiosk, reserving and renewing items and using the catalogue. They can also help with learning about the library website, using library resources, as well as the eLibrary and digital resources.

Librarians visit each agency on regular days and times - see the table above.

Storytimes

For current storytimes please visit our Storytimes webpage.

What will you find in a Library Agency?

Library agencies have a regularly updated collection of fiction and non-fiction books, children’s picture books, junior fiction books, young adult fiction books, magazines, audio books and DVDs for borrowers to browse, as well as a self-loan area to borrow, reserve and return items. The agencies are attended by local staff and volunteers during opening hours, and there are library staff on hand once a week.

Library users can browse the collection in the agency or search the library catalogue and reserve any of the 280,000 items across the entire Goldfields Libraries collection.

  • Reserves are delivered to agencies weekly for patrons to pick up
  • Drop off returns, pick up reserves, browse and borrow from the collection
  • Sit and read, browse magazines or catch up with friends
  • Library programs such as storytimes for kids and digital literacy programs for adults are run on a regular basis
