Our Cultural Stories Chinese Dragon at Bendigo Library

Goldfields Libraries, along with the City of Greater Bendigo, is proud to provide a special series of events and activities celebrating our many cultural stories and embracing our community as a place where all belong.

1.6 Billion Ways To Be Muslim Exhibition

1.6 Billion Ways to be Muslim is a photographic exhibition showcasing the many and diverse faces and practices of being Muslim. The exhibition was inspired by the work of artist Peter Drew, author of Poster Boy, who will share stories of his work at
the exhibition launch, along with exhibition curatorr Karima
Farouque (The Muslim Collective) and Moustafa Al-Rawi.

1.6 Billion Ways to be Muslim is a headline event which has inspired a full program of aligned workshops, activities and events around embracing diversity and sharing all of our cultural stories. Tours will be conducted throughout the course of the exhibition in Bendigo, by volunteer members of the local Muslim community, for local high school students and interested members of the public.

Keep an eye out in our Winter What’s On Program for exhibition dates at our other libraries.
