A fabulous day of sustainable fun and information for the whole family.

  • Shoe and boot mini gardens (BYO boot or shoe)
  • Make your own water bottle holder (BYO water bottle and two old socks)
  • Wax wrap show & tell

 Recycle with Style: Paper jewellery workshop

Join Michelle from Paperazzi Design Studio and turn old books and colourful magazines into beautiful paper jewellery! Create stunning and unique pieces using just paper, a simple stitch, glue and basic tools. Learn how to fold, cut and slice your way to craft stylish paper bling.

$10 charge to be paid on the day.

BYO old books and magazines, the library will as well!

2040: Join the Regeneration movie screening

An amazing and innovative documentary that looks to the future, but is vitally important NOW. Award-winning director Damon Gameau explores what the future would look like in 2040 if we embedded the best solutions to improve our planet into the mainstream right now. Structured as a visual letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary footage with dramatised sequences and visual effects to create a vision board for his daughter and the planet.

Clare Parry – All about Passivhaus: the ultimate sustainable home

Introducing the high performance, comfort and energy standard of Passivhaus (Passive House) utilising five key principals for healthy and comfortable buildings using almost zero energy. This session is aimed at beginners, including design professionals, homeowners and those intrigued by the new design nomenclature.

Clare Parry is an expert in Australia’s sustainable built environment. She speaks regularly at conferences internationally and is Founding Director and Chair of the Australian Passive House Association.

Sue Gerdsen – Prolonging your harvest: Preserving fruits and vegetables

If it stands still long enough Sue will get it into a bottle or jar! Sue is a lover of no-waste, foraging, preserving, and prolonging fruits and vegetables in every way possible. This session will cover bottling, drying, spicing, pickling, preserving, freezing and more.
