eLibrary Changes
As part of ongoing improvements to our library service, access to Lynda.com, through your Goldfields Libraries membership, will no longer be available after 17 December 2019.
The change comes as we begin to consolidate our eLibrary offerings, aiming to give you, our valued members, higher quality eLibrary resources with more content, in fewer platforms.
If you are currently enrolled in a Lynda course, we recommend you finish it before 17 December and download your certificates of completion. Any uncompleted courses will not generate a certificate of completion, and data will be lost.
To download your Certificates of Completion:
- Log in to your Lynda.com account via the Goldfields Libraries website at https://www.ncgrl.vic.gov.au/lynda
- Hover over your name in the top right hand corner and click ‘Certificates’
- Select view/print for any certificates you wish to save
- Click ‘Save PDF’ in the top left hand corner of the pop up window
In lieu of Lynda.com, we are encouraging patrons to browse and use our other computer and training resource, TheComputerSchool.
TheComputerSchool is an online computer and technology-based training centre. It offers a very diverse selection of user-friendly technology training tutorials, including those developed by original program/app manufacturers.
Learning topics include:
- Computer basics
- Cyber safety
- Design & multimedia
- Digital photography
- Social media
- Smartphones & devices
- Business
- Music
We encourage you to use the fantastic resources available through TheComputerSchool, but if you would still like to access to Lynda.com, you can do so through a free membership to City of Melbourne Libraries.
