Are you worried about your online safety? Put your mind at ease at a ‘Staying Safe on Social Media’ workshop on Thursday 29 June. Sessions will be held at Bendigo, Castlemaine and Woodend Libraries.

Join online expert Stefania Cola, founder of Bendigo based website design company Doomsday Tuna, to learn some easy ways to enjoy the fun and simplicity of connecting with your family and friends online, in safe environment.

Stephania will cover the basics of social media security, including how to spot an online scam, what you should (and shouldn’t) share on social media and how to keep your online identity safe.

“We are pleased to be able to connect the public with Stephania, a well-known expert in the field, who will put people’s minds at ease and show them the best way to go about using social media,” said Tammy Higgs, Goldfields Library Corporation Programs and Events Coordinator.

All three ‘Staying Safe on Social Media’ sessions will be held on Thursday 29 June – at Bendigo Library from 10.30-11.30am, Castlemaine Library from 1-2pm and Woodend Library from 3-4pm.

All sessions are free.
