Raising your child in the digital world

Monday 29 January 2018

Navigating the world of screen time and internet use can be pretty tricky when it comes to your kids. Children can tap, swipe and pinch before they can talk or tie their shoelaces, and understandably, parents are worried about the effect it will have on their child’s physical health and development growing up.

Join online expert Stefania Cola, founder of Bendigo based website design company Doomsday Tuna, for parental guidance in the digital age.

Goldfields Libraries is thrilled to have Stefania back after the success of her previous workshops ‘Staying Safe on Social Media’ and ‘Job Seeking in the Digital World’.

Stefania will run three sessions at Goldfields Libraries which will leave you with some great tools to plan your family’s digital boundaries, because technology doesn’t have to be scary.

“We are pleased to have Stefania back and to be able to connect the public with her. She understands the digital world well, and will give parents helpful tips, tricks and tools that will help ease their minds when it comes to their children and technology,” said Tammy Higgs, Goldfields Library Corporation Programs and Events Coordinator.

All sessions are free and will run at Kyneton, Bendigo and Castlemaine Libraries in February.

Bookings are essential and can be made online via www.goldfieldslibraries.com
