Pop into Goldfields Libraries for some school holiday fun!

Tuesday 27 March 2018

School aged children are invited to pop into their local library these school holidays to join in some fun, free and educational activities.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer children in the region a varied range of activities to try these school holidays,” said Tammy Higgs, Goldfields Libraries Programs and Events Coordinator.

Bendigo Library joins the Bendigo Easter Festival in Rosalind Park from Good Friday until Easter Sunday for the Goldfields Libraries Stay and Play. Come along for special Storytimes, an awesome dragon photo booth and craft activities, perfect for all young families!

Performer Lilly Pilly Green from Zucchini Clan will feature at Castlemaine, Woodend and Bendigo Libraries. She is a charmingly cheeky advocate for sustainability, and will entertain all with unique songs, flamboyant costumes and kooky, madcap hilarity.

Plants for your patch sessions around the region will see children prepare their own vegetable seedlings, complete with plant markers, to take home and start their very own veggie patch.

Kids are encouraged to embrace their imaginations and join in the hive of other activities on offer over the two weeks. Come along to Pop Up Fun stories and activities with The Hobbit in 3D, relax and watch a movie at one of our movie matinee sessions, challenge friends to a Mario Kart Race on our brand new Nintendo Switch, or learn some new skills with the awesome artists from Drawing With Us in a Manga Art Workshops.

All activities are free and some require bookings.
